Introduction to our client
EKIKO is a New Zealand brand of sleeping solutions: premium blankets and sleeping masks. The client came to us with a request for creating a simple and minimalistic Shopify store based on ‘Avone’ Theme.
Solo products connection and displaying them on PDP as variant swatches
Each color variant of the same product model had to be created as a separate product on the website for marketing and SEO purposes. Our task was to custom code color swatches for individual products, enabling customers to easily select their desired color option. We connected different products with the same model but varying colors through metafields.
Custom countdown
We’ve coded a sale countdown that is fully editable in Customize mode allowing the merchant to set up a date of sale end, change the promo text and assign a link that leads to the PDP.
Image carousel imitating Instagram styling
Our goal was to create a section with Instagram images that doesn’t redirect customers to external social media. The section we’ve made has a hover effect with the Instagram social icon. We’ve also added a setting for merchants that allows them to assign the link to the PDP or any other page for each image, so the promoted product on the photo can be easily accessed by customers.
Blog and Article Pages styling
We’ve styled default Blog and Article Pages, changed the markup and added advanced customization options for the merchant.
Style Guide creation and connecting
Our goal was to make the website consistent and visually appealing. We’ve created a Style Guide for the client and connected fonts, buttons, inputs, hyperlinks and hover effects to the website.
